Exalano Day was created to be a freeform, unconventional holiday dedicated to the concept of taking one day a year to step out of the ordinary routine of daily life, to look at things differently and to remember why your are here.  This annual call to Exalano Day is issued by the Exalano Day Committee, known under the abbreviation 'The EDC'.

'Exalano' is a Greek word meaning 'to march forth', and therefore the fourth day of March is Exalano Day. It is declared that on this most unique holiday we should march forth from the daily routine and do something new, different, and fun.  By advocating looking at things anew, this year the EDC calls on all the world to remember our purpose in life and to march forth in celebration of our purpose in life - to enjoy ourselves by living for today, tomorrow, and our fellow travelers.

The year 2003 marks the twenty-seventh time that the Exalano Day Committee has issued its call for celebration.  Tuesday, March 4th, is once again the best day on the calendar to spend some quality time looking at things differently and to add a new perspective to your life.  Do take some time this Exalano Day to march forth from your everyday existence and do something new, novel, exciting!  And whether this is your first Exalano Day announcement or your 27th, go ahead and do something special for yourself.

Your friends at the EDC.
Tuesday, March 4, 2003, is Exalano Day and it is time for you to step away from your everyday routine and remind yourself of the reasons your are here.  Exalano Day is a great day to spend some time just remembering why you are here - by marching forth and doing something special for yourself.
Happy Exalano Day 2003
It is easy to not think about these simple things and become engulfed in the meaningless complexities of modern life.  It's so easy to forget.
But how can you remember that life is not much more than to live in today, to reach for tomorrow, to give to others, and to feel good about it?

So, every now and then, we must pause and remind ourselves of these important ideas.  We must step away from the mind-numbing routine that threatens to make us forget about these key ideas.  We must stride outward from the humdrum trivia of everyday life and take the time to refresh ourselves.  We must march forth to remind ourselves of what really counts.

And Tuesday, March 4, 2003, is the right day to do that.  Tuesday is Exalano Day.

Happy Exalano Day 2003
